In New Zealand, 85% of people say a cashless society would severely negatively impact the financially excluded

The statistic comes from the 2019 "Future of Cash Use" report, published in December 2019.

According to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, The majority of all respondents (85%) agreed with the Bank’s view that people who are financially excluded could be severely negatively impacted if cash becomes difficult to get or use in New Zealand.
