On September 18th, 2019, ING published an international survey on payments, titled, From cash to crypto: The money revolution finding that across Europe, the USA and Australia, cash is still king.

According to the 2019 ING report, 54% of Europeans, 65% of Americans and 59% of Australians disagree with the statement, "I would prefer it if cash did not exist."

For all the hype surrounding cryptocurrencies, consumers have yet to be convinced. The latest ING International Survey shows that "knowledge about digital currencies remains limited and cash is still king. To be a viable part of our everyday lives, crypto will need to be proven useful, relevant and trustworthy."
