89% of people in Germany say they would not renounce cash (ING DiBa, 2017)

On May 3rd, 2017 German bank ING DiBa published findings from a survey on payment habits—"Cash bleibt doch king" (or "Cash remains king")—and found that 84% of the respondents in Germany said they would not renounce cash completely.

The report also showed that while Germans are largel open to alternative digital payments, 90% always carry cash.
